Hello World and welcome to my haven.
I created this blog a couple of years ago with a sole purpose to write more. I was so excited to have my own space, I wrote about anything and everything that came to my mind. Not much has changed except that I leaned more and more towards Book reviews and Memes along the way.
I was born and raised in AlKhobar, Saudi Arabia and lived their my entire life. I love that country, didn’t know that I wasn’t originally from there – LOL
I’m from Pakistan and the yearly summer vacation visits didn’t teach me enough of that so my mom thought my graduating from the country would add to my patriotism and also calm her doubts about sending me elsewhere to study. So I had to let go LSBF (London School of Business & Finance) and AUS (American University in Sharjah) scholarships and settle for UCP (University of Central Punjab) in Pakistan. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m glad she made me do it. Those four years in Pakistan landed me where I am today and got me my husband and some amazing friends along the way!
That brings me to my next update, I recently got married and had to move to Australia with husband, I wouldn’t have entertained the idea so much if it weren’t for the easy access to international publishers – oh that’s right, I’m working on getting my book published – more on that later! So I’ve been in Australia for about two months and now that I’ve bagged in a job and all settled down, I’m so excited to be here. I mean it’s pathetically beautiful at the very least and impossibly serene at the best.
Professionally I’m a Marketer, I’m as enthusiastic about work as I am about reading, hit me with campaigns and strategies and I’ll be as interested as for an illustrated version of my favourite fantasy novel. I love to share ideas and advices, I’m pretty smart like that but even-though all that reading and researching teaches you a lot, I hardly use it for my own good but hey someone else might benefit from all that :p
My biggest wish is for this world to dramatically turn into a better place for all, homing and welcoming. Lately all the negativity around me frustrates me more than grammatical errors – ugh.
So wrapping things up, needless to say I love to read, anything and everything but always prioritise YA fantasy over others. I have this weird obsession of books with maps, if there’s magic and a fortress – I’m all in 100%. I’m a dreamer and I believe in almost all the made-up stories out there. I’ve lived in Westeros and Middle-earth, attended Hogwarts and visited Narnia, participated in The Hunger Games and slept in Ketterdam. I’ve also been to Rifthold and fell in love with Anielle and I’ve met them Peculiar kids in my loop of 30 December 1992.
Oh before I go, meet my Rubeus! I’ll find a real-life version of a dancing Panda and adopt some day, till then I’ll blog about how I love Pandas ( and books!)
oh and I’d love if you would drop by on any of my other profiles 😉
or just watchout for #NMLifeinWords 😉
