Top5 “Unlikeable” Protagonists

This is easy, so many times I like the book and the story and writing but just can’t make myself like the protagonist and sometimes it ruins the experience for you and sometimes well it adds to it.

  1. Aelin/ Celena from Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas

I just can’t take enough of her attitude, what’s with it anyway? Too much cussing for my like and way too proud for my taste. It’s good that there is a lot going on in the series because I think I would’ve been tired of her long before if it weren’t for the side tracks.whoa

  2. Layken from Slammed by Colleen Hoover

I found her too whiny and ordinary of a teenager, the kind too full of herself to ever understand things completely. This protagonist ruined the story for me, I never felt emotionally attached.

  3. Will + Emily from Me Before You by JoJo Moyes

No, just a big no. Why would anyone be rude to anyone being nice to them? although the entire book was an intense meh if the characters both male and female were any better I would’ve hated it a bit less.
And why does the girl has to be how she is- no.

  4. Rachel from The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

I just couldn’t stop myself from cringing almost after every second chapter, I mean what’s the deal with making her so pathetic and so yukhy and annoying and whiny and unattractive and sick and crazy. *angry face*tenor

  5. Meredith Grey from Greys Anatomy

I don’t know I can’t find it in me to like her, how can a person be this cold to people around her? She’s shown mature but acts like a complete bitchy child to her lover, husband, friend, family, parents everyone at first.
