…with those goons sucking the life outta you, I don’tΒ know what it was like for you back home, but you probably would’ve been better off not coming here, don’t you think?

well who wouldn’t want more? These lines would just entice you to grab after dark, and well you should!

Murakami is one of the authors I discoveredΒ in my early 20s and only glad that I did. His books are nothing less than brilliant and his writing is definitely an art in itself, literature in its best πŸ™‚ I’d recommend Kafka on the shore to all who haven’t. You’ll fall in love in the first chapter ❀

Synopsis

A gripping novel of encounters set in Tokyo during the spooky hours between midnight and dawn, by an internationally renowned literary phenomenon.

Murakami’s trademark humor, psychological insight, and grasp of spirit and morality are here distilled with an extraordinary, harmonious mastery. Combining the pyrotechnical genius that made Kafka on the Shore and The Wind-up Bird Chronicle international bestsellers, with a surprising infusion of heart, Murakami has produced one of his most enchanting fictions yet.
